A Little Western-Boho Find I Had to Share

If you’re anything like me and you love that western-boho, slightly rugged but still cozy kind of style, I thought this might be fun.

One thing I’m planning to do more of here at Hippie Stitches is sharing good finds when I stumble across them. Especially when they fit the slow-living vibe… and when they’re a really good deal.

This time, it’s beanies.

The Beanies That Stopped Me in My Tracks

I recently found some Wrangler beanies while I was down in Ames at Theisen's. I can’t say for sure if every location has them (I’m not sure about Iowa Falls), but the Ames store definitely did—and I was very tempted.

I picked up two, and I’ll be honest… I couldn’t resist wearing one of them right away.

They have several colors available, and every single one fits right into that earthy, boho-western palette:

  • Almond

  • Black

  • Brown-A warm caramel shade

  • Mole (a very dark brown)

  • “Tan”-which, to me, reads more like a rusty, reddish brown

  • Arctic-a soft aqua shade

Honestly, I could have worn either of the ones I bought with my outfit that day, and that’s always a good sign.

Clearance Finds Are My Favorite Finds

Online, these beanies are listed at $10, and I’ll be sure to share a link for you if you’d rather shop that way. But in the store? They were on clearance for $7.50...and you know that made my day.

There’s just something extra satisfying about finding something you genuinely love and snagging it at a discount.

A Small Confession From a Beanie-Maker

Now… full transparency.

If you know me at all, you know I make a lot of my own beanies. So there was a tiny moment where I felt like a bit of a sellout buying a pre-made one instead of crocheting it myself.

But here’s the thing: I really love them.

They’re cozy, they fit my style, and they work beautifully with the kinds of outfits I already wear. And I think that’s an important reminder: supporting handmade doesn’t mean we can never enjoy something ready-made. It’s all about balance and intention.

Why I’m Sharing Finds Like This

This little beanie moment fits right into the slower, more intentional rhythm I’ve been leaning into lately. Instead of constantly buying more, it feels good to find a few things that truly align with my style and get worn again and again.

So when I come across something that feels:

  • Cozy

  • Practical

  • Boho-friendly

  • Budget-conscious

…I’ll pop in and let you know.

No pressure. Just sharing the love!

If you end up finding one in store or if you grab one online, let me know which color you choose. I’d love to hear how you style it.
