Celebrating Local Creativity
One of my very favorite parts of running Hippie Stitches is getting to connect with other creative, small-business owners right here in our community. When local makers support each other, something really special happens, and that’s exactly what inspired my collaboration with HayleyCo Designs.
If you love fun, colorful details and handmade goodness, you’re going to want to keep reading!
Meet HayleyCo Designs
Hayley is the creative force behind HayleyCo Designs, where she creates magnets, stickers, and buttons that are full of personality, color, and joy. Her designs are playful, eye-catching, and perfect for adding a little happiness to your everyday life, whether that’s on your fridge, water bottle, laptop, or project bag.
A few words from Hayley:
A Perfect Fit for Our Holly Dolly Christmas Open House
This past holiday season, Hayley created custom stickers and buttons for our Holly Dolly Christmas Open House at our chiropractic office and they were a HUGE hit, not to mention the most fun office party we've had in a loooong time!
They added the perfect touch of fun and whimsy to the event and paired beautifully with the cozy, handmade vibe I love bringing to everything Hippie Stitches does.Seeing guests light up when they spotted those details reminded me why collaborations like this matter so much. When local creatives work together, it elevates the entire experience.
Why Local Collaborations Matter to Me
As a small business owner, I know firsthand how much heart goes into handmade, homegrown and independently designed products. Choosing to collaborate locally means:
-
Supporting real people in our community
-
Creating meaningful, memorable experiences
-
Offering customers something truly unique
-
Building relationships instead of just transactions
Hippie Stitches was created to be more than crochet, it’s about connection, creativity, and community. Working with HayleyCo Designs aligns perfectly with those values.
Looking Ahead: A Handmade & Homegrown Market in the Works
Collaborations like this one are also helping shape something new: we’re planning a local handmade & homegrown market centered around small, creative businesses in our community. We are crazy excited to invite you to the first ever Dows Market On Main!!!
We’re in the beginning stages right now, but the heart behind it is simple:
to create a welcoming, thoughtfully curated event that celebrates handmade, homegrown, and small local businesses, while giving shoppers a fun and relaxed way to support makers they may not discover otherwise.
HayleyCo Designs and Hippie Stitches share a love for creativity, connection, and intentional making, and those same values are guiding every decision as we start organizing this event. From the vendors we invite to the overall vibe of the day, our goal is to make it feel personal, inspiring, and genuinely enjoyable for both shoppers and makers.
As plans come together, I’ll be sharing updates here, on the market website and on social media. If you love supporting local artists, this is definitely something to keep on your radar.

*Our market is intentionally curated to support handmade, homegrown, and small local businesses. We welcome crafters, makers, upcyclers, vintage dealers, small farmers, and growers offering items they personally create, raise, or source.
To maintain the spirit of the market, we are not able to accept vendors selling mass-produced items, dropshipped goods, or direct sales brands.
